How do you install soft racks?
Open your car doors. Lay your soft racks out across your roof, one aligned with the front doors and one with the back doors. With your doors open, fasten the lower straps inside your vehicle. The upper straps will be used to secure your surfboard. Once installed, shut your car doors and you are good to go. Excess strap can be tied into a knot to avoid road noise. What is the ideal spacing from front to rear with this rack? Does the surfboard contact the vehicle?
Typically you want to space the racks as far away from each other as you can. This will mostly depend on the distance between your vehicle's front and back doors, and the curve of your roof. You want to be sure the pads are taller than your vehicles roof. For maximum efficacy, your surfboard should not make contact with the roof of your car. It should be stably suspended between the two racks.
Is your Block Surf Wrap Rax Deluxe single soft rack OK for a single SUP?
This system can be used for a Stand-Up Paddleboard. We don't recommend highway speeds though. For a larger SUP specific rack, check out the Wrap-Rax Deluxe SUP soft racks.
Is the Block Surf Wrap-Rax safe for my surfboard on the highway?
We typically recommend staying under highway speeds when using any soft rack.
