Are these safe for highway speeds? Since they are made for vehicles with existing crossbars, the Block SUV Rack Pads w/ Straps are suitable for highway speeds.
What the length of the pad? It's 19 inches wide.
How wide are the pads ?How long are the straps ?I understand the straps attach to the bars of a roof rack, is that correct ? The pads are 19" wide. There are two straps. The one with the buckle is 15 inches and the main strap is 4ft long. The straps attach to the bars of an existing roof rack.

I've been looking for these type of board straps. Without having to loop traditional straps around the crossbars manually this saves half the time with its ready-made loops.rnrnGlad I found them in a small surf shop in the middle of a landlocked state! Mahalo, Adam!

These are relatively expensive, they are not worth it. The pad straps are too hard to tighten and loosen easily which may mean that putting the board on will push it over. The tie down strap is too short.
