Comment: hard to hang on wall. Had to drill holes in front, drill a larger hole to set screws below surface an then plug the holes with a wooden plug. The other two sets I bought in the past do not seat firmly against the wall.

Comment: These could not be more perfect! They mount easily and quickly and hold the board perfectly. They look great when not in use and do not have that industrial/garage look. I love them!

Questions From Buyers
1. What type of wood are they made of?2. When a surfboard is wall mounted on a horizontal plane, the bottom edge rests in the hand obviously and the board leans back with the top edge resting against the wall? The manufacturer does not specify what type of wood is used in the construction of the rack. This is all that is indicated: "Our wood products are made of EIA and Telapak approved-Non-Endangered trees." As to your second question, you are exactly right. The bottom edge of the board will rest on the hand and the top edge of the board will rest up against the wall. The fingers will prevent the board from sliding out.
What prevents your board from sliding off the rack? The rack is designed to safely display various items including surfboards. The fingertips will prevent any item that is being displayed on the rack from sliding off.
