The Fluid XL sunglasses by Quiksilver have been in lineup for years and now come in a larger size. These sunglasses feature a sleek 10 x 4.5 Base toric lenses, and a custom metal logo inlay. All Quiksilver lenses provide 100% UV protection, are distortion free, optically correct and shatter resistant.
What is an 10 x 4.5 Base lens? A lens' Base refers to the amount of arc in the lens and therefore the arc in the frame. The first number (10) is the horizontal arc. A 6-Base is a more flat, square shape creating a more scholarly look. A larger base like a 10-Base is more wrapped and therefore will appear more suited for active endeavors. The 4.5 means it's rounded from top to bottom.
