What's a surf retailer doing in Colorado?

I hear that a lot. Truth is, it's a good question.

We weren't always in Colorado. I lived in Hawaii for several years where I learned to surf and enjoy the ocean in many ways. But it wasn't until I was living in California that I started what is now Surfboards.com. Shortly after, my wife and I (along with our newborn daughter) moved to Colorado.

Rather than dump the business (who needs a surf retailer in Colorado?), I decided to press on. In part because I knew physical location was less important in internet retail and also because I wanted something that would keep me ocean-minded. With nearly a decade of hindsight, I can say without hesitation that it was the right move for the business, our customers, and my family.

Today we try to keep a large selection of surf related equipment and accessories sprinkled with some basic apparel from our favorite brands. We ship from several warehouses though our headquarters and customer support remain in a facility just south of Denver.

So drop us a line. Give us a shout. We would love to hear from you. If you call, we're small enough that I might be the one picking up the phone. If not, someone else in the office will grab it and take good care of you.
